What about the overnight underwear designed to look like underwear for older kids? Our 8 year old has this happen, and that seems to be our best bet for bed sharing.

Bring a waterproof mattress pad or bed mat. They make them with a soft covering so it doesn't feel like they're sleeping on plastic.

We use good night pads on top of the sheets at the hotel plus a bed wetting alarm. My dd very much did not want to go back into pull up.s

From time to time (esp when kid is sick) we put an old ultimate kid sheet cover on the bed or under the fitted sheet. Got that tip from a friend years ago. Works well ... unless your kid is a restless sleeper and it shifts during the night. For us it has worked well as a pad on top of the fitted sheet -- easy to remove in middle of night if accident occurs. When we've taken it to hotels we just remove it from the bed in the morning, so as not to confuse the cleaning staff.
