We absolutely LOVE it. We have a real Tempurpedic, the original one, and the name brand one.
It is incredibly firm, but molds to your body. Since the baby is so light, it doesn't really mold to him so it stays very firm.
The BIGGEST PRO is that it doesn't transfer movement at all. You know in the commercial how the girl is jumping on the bed and the wine glass doesn't spill? It's like that. A better ad would be to show and mom getting out of bed without disturbing sleeping baby next to her.
As for sex, I noticed no issues. Any cons are quickly dismissed because the sleep quality is excellent. Fully rested, no sore joints. Totally worth it.

Pp here. It did off gas really bad and I was early pregnant and not happy about it. I slept in the other room for probably a week. If I could go back I would have put it in another room with the window open for at least a few days. The smell was bad. But I love it so much I don't mind now. At the time I was pissed.

Love ours! Bought it in my early first trimester and it was great for pregnancy. Really hard to get in and out but once I was I slept very well and it saved me.
Mine is really firm so I didn't worry as much about co sleeping but we really didn't co sleep much - she was next to me in a co sleeper. We did nurse side lying after a few months and sleep a bit and I wasn't too worried. I found nursing sitting up to be impossible to get comfortable on this mattress though so I used the glider or nursed side lying. I had to pump anyway at night for a few months so I had to get up anyway.
We have not had any issues with sex or found it too hot. And my DH is always hot. He is a big guy and it does create a divet but regular mattresses do the same.
Totally worth the price for us. I love it!

These Tempurpedic anecdotes are so far from our experiences that I'm not sure if we are talking about the same bed. FWIW I have the Cloud, one of the lower-end Tempurpedics. My kids are older but I wouldn't hesitate to put a baby on a Tempurpedic because I vividly remember the "bounce" that occurred with movement on the innerspring mattress. We coslept and I cringed each time my husband would flip his pillow, etc, because our 8-pound baby would become almost airborne.
And there's no "sinking" as you would in a featherbed, etc. The way it molds is around your pressure points. That means, for example, your hipbone, shoulders, etc., are comfortably enveloped, but the rest of your body sits on the mattress surface. That is why it's good for those of us with back pain. A baby or even a toddler won't have enough weight to "sink" into a Tempurpedic.
The promotion when we bought ours included a "free" twin-sized Tempurpedic, so my kid has been on one for years. Yes, there's a day or two of off-gassing where the scent is strong, so maybe I'd have us all avoid it during that time, but bottom line I believe it would be a fine and good choice for your needs. I'm a huge believer in the brand; we bought ours when I was having terrible back trouble and in 3 years of sleeping on the Tempurpedic I haven't had a single back issue after years of throwing my back pretty much every single year. Sleeping on my previous mattress only made it worse.

We have one - husband's from before the marriage, but we didn't start using it regularly until we had moved into our house and I was 5-6 months pregnant.
1 -- very comfy once you get used to it, but there's a steep learning curve - however you may want to consider a knockoff
2 -- it wasn't good for having an infant in bed with us -- the weight difference was too much, so an adult sinks in but a little baby (less than 10 lbs) will just roll/slide into the adult. It may be different with a larger 25+ lbs child, however
Also, the foam top is very adsorbent - which means any fluid that spills on the mattress gets soaked in. Bad for bed wetters, postpartum heavy bleeding, and your water breaking
3 -- it made it harder to move around when pregnant, but once I was comfortable, it was great
4 -- hate it for sex -- too squishy
And it gets really hot

I LOVE ours and only wish Id had it for my first pregnancy and infant stage. So excited to have it for the next one. This may be because we chose the firmest version of theatre was available. It is very stable, supportive, and doesn't bother one person when the other one moves.

We have one and love it. Our 2 year old is often in it with us and it's fine. In fact, with a true temperpedic one of the benefits is that you don't feel the other person move.

We have a bed like that (some other brand, but same concept) and it is terrible for co sleeping. I can't be sure because my son (now 2) would never co sleep so maybe he was one of those babies that just wouldn't anyway, but I always thought it was the bed. You can feel EVERY movement so if I tried to move it would wake him. And def not safe at a young age... so mushy. I hate the bed in general (my husband has back problems so he likes it) so I'm a bit biased, but it is definitely not conducive to a kid sleeping in it. I haven't noticed sex being an issue in it.

We got a pure bliss latex. We considered them but they are known for off gassing and other issues. I would never put a baby on one. Try latex or something more healthy. They are overrated.

we are looking to upgrade our mattress to a king and are considering the temperpedic. Our daughter sometimes come to sleep with us - so we just need more room in bed plus we now have the space since we moved outta the city.
a few questions;
1 - temperpedic - is it worth the price? 4000 seems so pricey but Ive heard great things!
2 - ok for kids? sounds silly but i know her crib mattress is super firm
3 - pros/cons with pregnancy?
4 - is it a myth that its not good for sex?? i guess i could see that as you sink in a bit - not sure if i wanted to ask the sales guy that one - lol!
