3. I don't think think of white people as "ignorant" in general, first of all. Second, my chief frustration might be the fact that a lot of Hindu spirituality is appropriated by mainstream American culture without credit being given to the source (dharmic religious practices such as yoga, meditation, the importance of breathing, virtues of a vegetarian diet, etc), while a lot of institutional problems with Hindu's orthodoxy and political groups (corruption, misogyny, etc) are heavily focused on and branded as defining attributes of the religion.
