The wheeler dealers make it tougher on us but the fact is their game is more about one upsmanship among their peers. The fact is that one half of all workers in this country are employed by a firm with less than 500 employees....1/3rd work for companies with less than a hundred and small businesses are responsible for 65% of new jobs created. And as far as taxation...I bet we, the self employed and small business owners, pay more combined taxes than all the major corporations do. We set the tempo for purchasing of goods and services...those rich fat cats aren't buying enough of goods, or utilizing enough of the services, that actually drive our economy...and we drive the directions of our cities and communities. If all of those who own small businesses and their employees and associates shut down our workforce, and stopped our purchasing, you would see a major disruption and a significant loss of tax revenue.
True...politicians and fat cats like the Kochs and Adelson can be a pain in our ass but we are surviving, and thriving, in spite of them.
