If I needed that level of control (which I don't necessarily find unreasonable) I switch to a nanny or stay at home.

Then stay your ass home and tend to your own baby.

This clutching is silly.

I get the not following instructions bit, but what, exactly, is your objection to "such food?"

And review the feeding policy (mine started getting finger foods in the crawlers room at 9 months), make sure I was OK with it, and look for alternate care arrangements if I was not.

Why are you so deliberately depriving your child? Weird, OP.

Lighten up.

It might be!

OP there is really nothing to handle unless you're going to remove him from their care. Remind them again and then let it go. It was one serving/meal.. it won't have done anything to him.

Maybe OP feels disappointed that her baby experienced his/her first tastes of solid food -- a milestone -- without her? I can certainly sympathize with that feeling.

Totally. She probably needs all organic. All home made. All whatever.

He ate it, he probably wants more.

Now you too can give him purées at home.

Remind them again at drop off that you do not want him eating solids.

If it was an accident, I'd let it go. If they had purposely gone behind your back, that would be a bigger issue.

Honestly - get over it. It won't hurt him. You can say again to please not feed him solids, but really not a big deal.

My 6 mo is sent with 15 ounces of breast milk. He drinks that along with one serving of oatmeal cereal in the morning. Today, he was given jarred carrots when I have strictly told them countless of times that I want to hold off on introducing such solids. I know this was done by accident but I cant help but feel really upset over this.

How would you handle this situation?
