When this happened to me, it was the huge spring attached to the crossbar at the top of the door. Just change them both. No, it's not DIY. A few hundred each.

Things settle and the sensors are out of alignment. Search for garage door repair in your area and you'll get a list of people who can fix it up for you.

Sometimes it can be dustballs/spider web on part of the electri eye sensor. Wipe with cloth and try door.

Have you checked to be sure the sensors are “lined up?” Our garage door did this and it was because the sensors on either side of the door were not aligned - i.e. - pointing at each other. This caused the sensors to “sense” that something was blocking the closing area.
