ok so it automatic. we're .30ish from IB and .40ish from the other. so no proximity pref was given.

We had proximity to Cleveland under the old system, but not the new one. Plug your address into DCPS and it will tell you.

The handbook states that “DCPS provides a proximity preference to families who are zoned for an elementary school that is more than a half-mile walking distance from their home. These families receive a proximity preference in the lottery at a DCPS elementary school that is within a half-mile walking distance from their home.”

If we are IB for garrison but live .50 miles from Cleveland, could we get proximity preference? How does that work?
