I dunno $20k min. Call an hvac company and talk to them.

PP here who just paid 16k. We looked into the cost of running two zones (2 systems in the attic), and it would have nearly doubled our cost.

We just had it installed in our colonial. Blower was installed in the attic, with ducts in the attic, 2nd floor and 1st floor. We were lucky in that all of the rooms on the first floor that needed vents could be reached through closets in 2nd floor rooms. As a result, we didn't have to have new soffits built. Total cost for a 36,000 BTU SEER-16 unit with a 3-ton blower was just over 16k.

If you are just replacing, we had our entire system - furnace and ac replaced for $9000. You could probably do a little cheaper or a lot more expensive. If you do not have ducts/new install double that depending on the set up of your house.

Pp here. We bought it after it was already there so I don't know the cost.
