Please come back OP and let us know whether any of these suggestions work!

Maria Zimmitti works there, as do a handful of other psychologists who appear to focus on kids with behavioral issues. It's not an ideal location for us (because M and Wisconsin is basically the hardest place to get to and park) but i'm thinking it wouldn't be horrible to uber there and back after school. One of their psychologists, Mollie Dee, also shows as having an address on Connecticut south of Dupont Circle, so i may try that first.
I also found this group in cleveland park, one of whom seems to have a focus on young kids with ADHD: http://dctalktherapy.com/about-us.
Does anyone have any experience with any of these?
Argh so frustrating that so many people have stayed in the city with kids in the last 15 years but the kid-related services lag so much! Few pediatricians, pediatric dentists, developmental pediatricians, psychologists, clothing stores, shoe stores, indoor playgrounds within the downtown core unless you start heading out to single family home territory.
Yep. Rents too high for most of what you list. Zimmitti is great.
And, why not walk or bike over to georgetown? Or public transit 1 mile up Connecticut ave? Isn't that an important winning point for the condo set -- that you cherish "never needing a car" ?
