Street smarts picked up in the streets of what? suburban Maryland? how idiotic.
I grew up in the Bronx. A lot of my street smarts has been passed on to my kids. So for example, when they walk out of the front door, they make sure they reach back to double-check that our front door is locked. When they're walking down the sidewalk, they move away from the street side if there's an idling car with a person sitting in it. There are a slew of things like that. And we live in the city; not the suburbs.
How is that going to keep them from being molested? Street smarts has zero to do with molestation.
Ugh, are you daft? They know to listen to their gut when something doesn't feel right and know how to get out of a situation when they feel the need. They're not afraid to kick someone in the balls. Okay?
I feel sorry for your kids. You sound absolutely daft.
