Of course, I'm laughing to myself that you selected the Hyatt Chesapeake GOLF Resort after initially posting that the other resorts seemed like 'too much golf'

It's really not that golfy though. And the smores at night!

This. I've stayed there a bunch of times and the golf course is way off to the side. We just went for the pool.

I know! But I was reading about some of the fun kids stuff and it just seemed right. Maybe dh will go play a round. I like that you can chose to rent things on the water. So we will see how it goes
I got a room with water view ? Is it nice? I was thinking of calling ahead to try to ensure we get a good view since I paid extra for it
I read in reviews that it can be loud and over run with kids. I'm okay with that.
Any tips on restaurants at the resort? We will do the included breakfast and bring some extra food for lunches etc

Thanks all! I booked the Cambridge/Chesapeake Hyatt. Other suggestions seemed really nice, but dh doesn't like too stuffy.
Really appreciate all the responses.

Massanutten resort near Harrisonburg, VA or Cacapon Resort in WV. These are reasonably priced and fun.

Homestead. Great kids pool, lazy river water slides. Awesome indoor pool as well.

The Homestead is usually cheaper than those you listed? Has a really nice kid's pool they redid a couple years ago.

So Nemocolin, kings mill, Bedford springs and Hershey were on the list after a search here, but I can't get past the price of some and what seems like too much golf etc for my kids. We just want a place to go to relax and swim in some pools etc. not super fancy but not cheap/trashy either
We loved a hilton in the keys with a dock, beach/sand and a few games etc. on site.

Can anyone recommend a place to go in the next couple of weeks?
