PS - good luck finding something not congested in FL in March. That is peak peak season and the whole northern half of the U.S. is visiting.

We got to Sanibel every Speing Break and love it, but it is extremely congested. I've never been but also heard good things about Boca Grande/Gasparilla.

Sanibel or Captiva Islands - very laid back and beautiful beaches.

Had a terrific quiet week on Gasparilla Island/Boca Grande last April. It is the island just north of Sanibel/Captiva/Cayo Costa, accessible from Placida. Lighthouse, high-end hotel, golf carts, marinas, mid-island beach was deserted.

We are looking for a spring break trip with 3 kids under 6 in March in Southwest Florida. I found Marco Island to be extremely congested. We are looking for something quieter. Hoping to rent a house or condo through VRBO. Any tips are appreciated.
