Subject: Countertop for bar in screened in porch?
Ours is stand-alone, but it is stainless steel. I'm really happy with it. Copper sounds good, as long as you're okay with how it will wear over time.

Copper, definitely more memorable and striking than granite

Copper sounds beautiful! Quartz? Just curious, do you have windows you can open? Our screened porch gets so dirty with dust/pollen. I'm thinking of putting windows in so we can close them when we aren't there.

I would definitely go for the granite.

How large is the bar? Granite remnants are very reasonable. Probably less expensive than other options.

Concrete is expensive to do well and requires skill. I have a massive concrete counter - very cool - but very $. If cost is a factor, I'd go with granite or silestone. Look matters a ton too - is this a modern house? If so, look at corten steel.

We are almost done building a large screened in porch (580 sq feet) and are putting a bar in one corner (the walls are closed in here so we can have a tv above the bar). The bar will be stone- what should we use for a bar top ? Our architect wants us to do granite but I'm not sold. I've been looking at painted concrete or even copper- anyone have an opinion? Trying to control costs as this project is already thousands past the original estimate! Thanks!
