Not the PP you addressed but when you have Democrats who are not willing to vote for a Democratic nominee, perhaps the problem is with the nominee and not the voter.

The Gore campaign should never have let it get close enough to allow Nader to play spoiler. That's entirely on them.

... which is exactly why I (not OP, a new poster) wish some other Ds would enter the field. I don't think HRC can win in the general election, she just has too much political baggage. I would like a viable D alternative to win the primary and face whichever R makes it out of the Hunger Games.

(I honestly like Sanders, and I think he has a better shot in the general election than many think, but I don't think he'll survive the primary.)

All the ones I mentioned would be polling above Milquetoast O'Malley, Racist Webb, and turncoat Chaffee.

THere are really only two proper candidates - HRC and Sanders. There's room for more and stronger debate.

There were a number in 2008 - it didn't hurt the process.
