Only get Prime if the shipping is valuable to you. Do not buy it for the media services at this time.

I like pbs, Comedy Central and HBO shows so I consider it the best

Pardon my ignorance but I do not even know what Apple TV is. I have two tvs and both have Netflix on them so I assume they are "smart" tvs? So I can still get Amazon streaming?

Is there an icon for Amazon?

We also have a blu ray player that connects to the wifi so we can stream Amazon (or Netflix, etc.) to the TV. I'm aching to get a Fire Stick for the bedroom TV but I just don't have a good excuse, yet.

Seriously? It's $40.

Do you have the Amazon app on your TV? If so its just as easy as Netflix. I love that I can buy episodes of shows that aren't on prime rather than hoping and waiting they show up

OP, it may be a bit more involved depending on what TV you have.

I stream on my computer, a kindle fire and using a Fire stick with my prime subscription.

You can check which shows come with prime first before subscribing by looking on the website.

Yes. Exactly. Purchase amazon prime and log in on your tv. In ther menu there is an amazon prime set of shows which would be free. Other shows/movies you have to buy but you can do that from your tv.
I have it and Netflix and hulu. Cut cable a long time ago.

Can you please explain to me how this works? Right now we have Netflix on our two TVs and it is good but we prefer to watch more series that everyone says is on Amazon. So do I just purchase an Amazon prime subscription and then log in with my TV and will give me choices of shows i can watch? I am interested in the Americans and the good wife amongst others. Are there any additional fees on top of my yearly prime subscription? Have you found it to be worthwhile?
