Hematoma. Not unusual. Apply warm compresses or other heat can help the blood that has pooled to get reabsorbed by the body.

Subject: Hard lump under skin (near hip) after I had a bruise
I had a bad bruise near my hip recently (purple, nasty looking) but I don't even know where I got it from. Last night I realized I have a hard lump and it surprised me and I went to look and it is where the bruise was. Anyone know what this might be from? Thanks in advance!
