DD uses her mirror to check there's no food in her teeth after lunch. She has time to get to her locker but not to get to the bathroom.

My kids have a shelf and that's about it. The locker is purely a place to stash a coat and hold their lunch. They blow by during the school day and exchange books if they're lucky.

The hanging locker shelves are the popular thing with my kids. Also assorted magnets. A mini dry erase board/magnet.
2 years ago, scented candles were popular (unlit, just to give the locker a sort of scent) but they're apparently no longer in.

+2 on the locker shelves
The magnet cups didn't work well for my DD -- she preferred clear zippered pencil pouches to separate out pens, markers, pencils, etc.
+2 on the magnets to hold pictures, lists, etc. She really liked the magnetic bulldog clips.
DD will start 9th grade in September.

Agree. My elem. school child has a locker and the chandelier, rug, and mirror are the must haves. For a 6 yr old I understand the appeal. For a 12 yr old, it just seems so young.

I think locker accessories are for whenever you're living out of your locker rather than out of a desk. For DD this started in sixth grade. She's got some sort of little cup thing for pens and a mirror.

My daughter has a crate to add a shelf in her locker. A holder for dry erase markers and dry erase board. She has some magnets that she puts pictures up of friends throughout the year. She was in 8th moving to 9th.

My girlfriend told me get the magnet cups to hold pencils, etc. to stick to the inside of the locker.
