No, actually the money hasn't magically appeared. Step increases were deferred. School-based positions were cut. Central office positions were cut. Those of us inside the schools are really feeling it. If you're a parent, you're probably not really feeling it. Yet. On top of the cuts that have already been made, this list shows what else could go. Decide what you're fine with letting go. The cost projections are right there. Put a package together and post it PP.

Have at it folks. Decide what you can live without. If you can't live without something, the talk with the Board of Supervisors about increasing the transfer. Talk about a meals tax. Get out there and make your voice heard. But please do not expect for things to continue as usual without paying a price.
Haha. Ain't gonna happen. There will be a lot of fuss, and things'll get switched around or transferred, and the money'll be there.

PP--what's your connection with FCPS--current parent, current staff member. community member with no children in the school?
My connection is the same as many posters, a parent with kids at FCPS who wishes they would/could raise taxes and end this drama.
Please tell me how to make that happen.

Which one is it? Is it "political cover" or has the fruit been picked clean?
