Good grief, nobody cares about a little hair. I think it is sexy. But after it grows back in, not when it is stubble because that reeks of insecurity/that he shaves which is NOT sexy.

I wish my husband was more hairy, honestly. it just seems more manly to me.

Good lord. My husband bares his hairy back, chest and arms without a second thought.

Dad-bod, I guess.

OP, make sure he shave UP instead of down (like how we shave our legs). There shouldn't be any stubble? You also could help him shave. Or get an electric razor so he can do it often and easily.

Who cares what other people like? He should be able to feel comfortable going swimming.

Do you think there's anything that can be done? How can I convince him to say eff it to the haters and just get comfortable with his body?!? (He has not been receptive to the idea of a rash guard or t-shirt? I kind of agree they look a little silly on grown men, but obvs would support him if it would just get him into the pool!)

The non-existent problems that people have to worry about thanks to marketing and the brainwashing of the media....Sad

I love a hairy guy. I know that I am probably in the minority, but I find it sexy and manly. Guys with little to no body hair kind of creep me out.

Anyway, I have cellulite on my legs and I still go to the pool. I like to consider it a community service. Other women can look at me and feel better about themselves, if they so choose. Sure I'd love to have a perfect body, but that isn't going to happen. Life is about embracing what we are given and rolling with it.

I hope he can find a way (maybe therapy) to get over this and not let life and fun experiences pass him by because of low self esteem.

My husband has a hairy back and takes his shirt off the second we get to the pool.

My dad is the same way.

Neither are overweight. Just hairy.

I think you'll see more and more swimshirts on men (and women!). Not sure why he'd feel weird in them. They just make sense.

Why doesn't he wax?

Also, waxing will remove it for a longer time and it wont' be stubbly when it comes back.

You said he shaves but won't get in- is the hair the only issue he dislikes? Is he overweight too?

I see nothing wrong with having a hairy back that's shaved. Women shave their legs.

My DH wears a rashguard as do many guys. What about more laser treatment?

Why won't he swim after shaving? I am sorry he feels so apprehensive, I don't like to see women OR men let heir body keep them from having fun.
