Subject: Legal Zoom or Attorney for Living Trust?
My own view is that living trusts are over-rated and I think they should not be the default.
Also, I trust Nolo Willmaker more than Legal Zoom, because I feel there is more room for someone taking your information down to screw up Legal Zoom (vs Willmaker where you enter the information yourself). Also, I have heard bad stories about Legalzoom but not Willmaker (doesn't mean there aren't any of course), and I have compared Willmaker wills to attorney wills and been satisfied.
I would go ahead and use Willmaker-- at least buy it because even if you go to an attorney it will be money well spent in educating yourself.

Subject: Legal Zoom or Attorney for Living Trust?
During my husband's previous deployments, we had a last will and testament as well as a living trust drawn up through the military legal office. Many things have changed now and we would like to redo the last will as well as the living trust. We are on a very limited budget and I'm wondering if anyone has used Legal Zoom services before or if it would be better to hire an attorney. We have a small home (almost paid off), life insurance, savings, retirement accounts and we have one young child. What would you suggest?
