I don't think that people think it's OK so much as they think there's not much OP can do about it, given that his parents already know and apparently approve.

1) You don't have to defriend him to not see his crap in your feed. You can just block his stuff from showing up.

2) I don't know that you can avoid having the kid around your son completely - but just always be too busy for 1-on-1 play dates.

DH has a 10 year old nephew who has been posting some things on Facebook that I find inappropriate (let's ignore the fact he's 10 and on Facebook). Lots of graphic Walking Dead screenshots, captures from some kind of video game with a man standing over a headless woman with a bazooka, and so on.

I personally don't want to see the stuff in my feed, but DH says it's rude to defriend him. What does DCUM think?

The bigger issue is that I don't think I want this child around my son. Maybe I'm uptight, but I don't think any of this is normal and I don't want my son thinking it is. How do I deal with this without offending anyone?
