Nice cheese, nice wine, produce, pastries, rotisserie chicken, wegmans brand, yummy subs (Danny's favorite on everything bread), good bagels, wegmans Italian soda and organic juice boxes

Their organic chicken is very good, and cheaper than WF. Their non-organic beef is also good. Their bakery is far better than other places. A lot of their store brands are good, and overall, prices are cheaper, as long as you avoid the specialty, prepared, or gourmet items.

We do have issues with certain of their fruits, which often have these freaky, fleshy texture issues. I don't know what they do to the fruit. Never ran into that anywhere else.

Their house brand is generally cheap and really good.

Their pre-marinated chicken breasts are fantastic on the grill. We especially like the brown sugar BBQ flavor. Teriyaki is very good, too.

You can buy a two-pack or a huge family size that freezes well and will save you a ton of time and money.

They're also great in the oven when the weather is crappy. Very forgiving if you happen to overcook them a bit. They retain their flavor and don't dry out.

Their bakery stuff is delicious. Produce is high quality. Nice meat selection.

Yeah, I just checked out the new one and, unfortunately, I agree. The produce was really nice, but nothing jumped out at me as worth a special trip (I live about 15 minutes away)

Oh! Just remembered, the huge bag of broccoli florets for $5! Such a time saver.

The produce is definitely a higher quality than what I get at Giant so I take advantage when I go. Their signature round bread is amazing - the one that has the Wegman's logo stenciled in flour on the top. They are also known for their sushi if that's your sort of thing. They have a large natural food section including a gluten free aisle. There is a large choice of pre-marinated meats, ready-to-cook fresh meals, and hot food bars that charge by the pound ($$). The rest of the grocery store is just a boring old grocery store.

I found it had the stuff I buy at Wholee Foods AND at Giant. So I can do all my shopping in one trip instead of 2.

I'm planning on finally checking out the new Wegmans sometime soon.

What do you buy at Wegmans that you don't ordinarily get at your regular grocery stores? What to look out for? What to avoid?
