No, OP, I did not buy a bra for DD in that situation. I don't even know why your DD is wearing sports bras.

My DD is 12 and still wearing the sports bras. She didn't ask for anything different. I thought the sports bras were more comfortable. Are all 12 yo girls wearing regular bras these days?

OMG. I could have been your daughter 25 years ago, except my mom actually laughed and told me I didn't need a bra. Go to Target and buy her some bras, whether you think she needs them or not. She just wants to be like everyone else. My mom finally got a clue and bought me a few bras.

Buy one! I remember the first day of gym in middle school and being mortified when we had to change before gym - I was literally the only girl without a bra.

I was in the same boat as a tween. Please get her a bra. She will feel much better about herself, especially when she has to start changing clothes for gym.

When I was 12 I had to beg my mom for a bra and I was a 32 d. Thankfully my best friends mom gave me some hand me downs. I bought my first bra at age 19. I was a 36 ddd by then. Different situation in terms of size. But the feeling of desperation was awful.

Buy her a bra. It s embarrassing at twelve for anyone to know you have absolutely no breast tissue. If padded helps cover her nipples, then padded.

Trust me. Being late to develop is embarrassing.

When I was 12 my basketball coach would not let any girl play on the team unless she wore a bra. I was flat as a board. My mom took me bra shoping anyway. I got a 28 AAA and I was allowed to play on the team.

My dd had nothing to show then one morning she came down they seemed to pop up over night so your daughter may be flat now but she will soon start filling out.

Absolutely, she's now at the age to start wanting a proper looking bra with straps and hook fastening instead of the over your head crop top styles. There are training/first bras available I think starting at size 28 AA what is her chest size?. It's not always about the physical need she sees herself becoming a woman and wearing a bra is a big step towards that.
