We've done it with nannies too (with pay).

For a job that involves actions in the moment (anything from cooking to carpentry), I could see it. For a traditional white collar job, I'd think it would be weird. (For new millenial type jobs, I have no idea.)

My take is that you go in for a few hours (for pay) to see how well you fit. Anyone done this?
