make sure the grade is sloping away from the house in that location. Also - make sure that there are no leaks in a possible adjacent downspout or extend all downspouts with extenders as far away from the house as possible.

You needs someone to dig down to the footer and see where the hole is. This will require calling Ms. Utility first probably.

Maybe a structural engineer who can determine where this water is coming from.

B/f you call in the big guns, have you checked your gutters?

Every time it rains, water comes into the electrical panel in my basement and gets the surrounding drywall damp. We've had an electrician out to caulk the electrical box/meter on the outside of the house, but that has not solved the problem. The rest of the basement is bone dry, so I am reluctant to contact one of the big waterproofing companies. Anyone had this problem before and have suggestions or contractor recommendations?
