Evangelicals are just one type of Christians --all of whom are Biblically called to evangelize.
To evangelize is to preach the good news to others. But as today's Gospel reading said, those who evangelize should shake the dust from their feet if people are not receptive. As a Catholic, I do evangelize but I don't try to convert people just let them know how my faith works for me.
Yes, this. All Christians are called to evangelize, per the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20, if you're so inclined).
I don't think that's what you're worried about though. Self-described evangelicals get a bad rap in the US because they're socially conservative, but in my experience don't try to convert people as much as any other Christians. It's just a name - but being Anglican, and knowing "evangelical Anglicans", I'm perhaps not as threatened by it.
Personally, I know a few Pentecostals and haven't had any try to convert me. I'd be much more worried about a Mormon au pair.
