I use the clips from bed bath and beyond, though it sounds like you can tie yours at the corners.

So what kind of duvet are you guys using? Is it a rather thin blanket? Then I can see this happening. I have a down duvet and don't have this issue.

What is the cover made of? What about the duvet? Is one or the other made of slippery polyester?

I've been using duvets my entire life and have never had that problem. Are you pulling on the cover and not the duvet in the night? Does it not fit (i.e. is the quilt too small for the cover?)

You tie the ties around the corners of the duvet. Just tie it about half an inch below each corner of the duvet, and tighten, and it will stay tied in.

I have a hard time to imagine what you are talking about. So the duvet inside the duvet cover (which presumably is closed with buttons) ends up balled up like in the corner of a bag?

Just ordered a new duvet cover and am beside myself getting it to look smooth and flat. It came with ties at the corners, but there's nothing on our duvet they'd attach to. I feel like I must be missing something completely obvious here. How do you make sure your duvet doesn't end up all balled up in a corner of the cover every morning?
