OP here, for some reason my son wouldn't drink milk out of them, but will use for water. My guess is that whole milk is just thicker and harder to suck through?

Now that you mentioned this - my oldest is 3 and has no problem using them for milk & water but my 1 year old drinks less milk from these cups than his bottle.

I think the issue is you are not likely to find anything that meets all your requirements. I think most sippy/straw cups leak to some extent, none are going to be bite proof (except maybe hard spouts), etc. We use Zoli and like it well enough, but it's $12 so maybe too much for you. Easy to clean, clear, measurement markings. It does leak with cold beverages, though, as I think most straw valved cups will do because of the pressure build up (it doesn't leak with room temp water, which is mostly what we use it for out and about, so it's not a huge problem for us). We have had to replace the straws because of biting, a pack of 3 is $9 I think.

The Playtex Anytime spout cups have held up well for us - the spout is small and thick plastic, so it's harder to chew. They have a plug for the hole that works pretty well.

I don't think any silicone nipple or straw is going to be "bite proof". The take-n-toss straw cups have a firm straw, but they aren't leak proof.

If I were you, I'd use a leak proof one for out and about and use the simplest thing I could find at home. Less cleaning that way, but you won't have spills in your bag/car.

Time to ditch the sippys and just go to a regular straw cup - any small straw cup. The take n toss straws are very easy. If you are worried about spilling in the car, just get a smaller-sized water bottle - like a camelbak. Yes, there will be some spillage from regular straw cups at home, but your child should be using a regular straw versus the sippy straw at this point. The sippy straw has a blocker in the straw to slow down the flow of liquid.

We mostly used the Avent sippy cups because we used Avent bottles. Just swapped out the nipple for a sippy top. Still can use the bottle cover to prevent leaks, add a handle if you want or not, has the same bottle markings.

We use the playtex ones mostly. I think all the sippy cups suck, but we need to use some! These ones have a thing that closes over the straw when you are taking them somewhere. They are not totally spill proof though. They lie!

I like the Take-n-Toss. Very cheap and spill proof. No measurements and not too bite proof, but you can throw/out recycle them when they get too beat up.

Please help! I need a good sippy cup for my 15 month old and I'm worried it doesn't exist. Here are the things I would like:

* easy to clean (no more than 3 pieces!)
* some sort of way for it to be closed for transport for daycare so it won't leak
* clear or see through
* bite proof (or as bite proof as it can be!)
* measurement markings (this is a nice to have, but not necessary since it doesn't seem to exist)
* not crazy expensive. $15/cup seems crazy.

Straw, spout, spoutless, handles or no handles, whatever. My son seems pretty adaptable for the most part to whatever cup we give him.
