Because the people harassing us are just spying on us to see what is going on . Most likely they will not drive by but try their best to find out other ways.


What are they going to see "going on"? If your daughter is on the front porch, yeah, blur it. But unless something amazing is happening right when the photo car drove by, they are not going to see action, just a still of a house...

It's personal property. Owners are permitted to make it private if they wish through blurring on Google.. Google is under attack on it's privacy settings more and more, so gave this one up for the homeowner.

Oh, this happens in neighborhoods with small houses. The homes are so small that it gets mistaken by Google for a face. Therefore it gets blurred out.

I just did it. You just send an email through the button and request it. We have a bad family situation so I agree with the PP. It took a few hours, not 24 hours. We don't do share anything publically.

Get on google streetview, search for your house then click the tiny link in lower right corner "report a problem". From there you will be able to request to get your house blurred. I just did and it takes effect within 24 hrs.

P.S. I am a victim of stalking and believe me, it's scary to find so much info out there. You can also request most people search websites and real estate listing pages to remove your info. They won't post the link, but if you are persistent you can find them.

BC now when someone looks at my house on street view they see a big blurred blob across the street and think "wtf is going on there."

The guy across the street from me just blurred his house and he was definitely not caught in the picture (bc I've seen it before, it was just the house).
