How in the world do you know she's starting to get horny? What do you plan on doing/talking to her about it?

Our dd started getting hormonal from around nine and got worse as she got nearer to menstruating but she calmed down a bit once she started her periods at eleven. She is now thirteen and getting the hang of mood swings but still has moments before she is due on. The latest thing she is having to deal with is not so much the mood swings but starting to get horney.

Well, at least your kid has a explanation for her behavior! My 13 yo has been a bear since about 12.5. I keep expecting ever first period to arrive but not yet!

In our house- yes. DD just turned 15 and she can be a nightmare at times. In calmer moments, she's said that she knows she's being overly emotional and irrational. I know its a sample size of 1 so take it for what it is. But your experience is similar to ours.

My 12 year old DD just began her period for the first time. The weeks leading up to it were full of extreme mood swings and anger like she's never expressed She even told me she felt that she was out of control. I know mood swings are normal but i felt it really upset her. Is this typical?
