Obvs. I'm the only one with kids so far, and I SWEAR I only send out pics or movies to them a couple times a year, so it's not like they have kid fatigue. It's so weird. They are loving and interested otherwise. Why don't they respond? For a long time I just quit sending to them at all, but it's not like I want to completely disconnect. Dang!

maybe they saw and have nothing to add?
i feel like my brothers send me stuff that is part of a single, hip, new york lifestyle, and i don't have much of a response beyond "that's interesting!" which i sometimes don't say b/c it sounds weird and clueless...

How many times do I want to hear it? Pretty much every day.
But really, I tend to respond "I love him/her!". Because it's true. And it fits any picture at just about any age.
Okay, but everyone in the damn world has enough emails to respond to. And some people (like myself) feel the need to write something clever or original every time. So often, I just opt to not reply. You know I love my nephews, but it's okay if I don't coo over them every day. Just keep the photos coming.
This is all fine and good, but like I said, I find it a bit hurtful that they can't be bothered to reply a few times a year. That's alright, I'll just be sad about it along with a few of the other pps. - OP
