Same. Just stick it back through tbe slot and the cover will hold it in place.

All the blue street mailboxes in our neighborhood are gone.
I drop mine off at work or the Metro.

This is not a dumb question...I actually have never thought about this before, but it makes good sense.

I would most likely take the time to walk to one of those blue mailboxes on the sidewalk + drop the letter in one of those.

Or sometimes businesses have their locked mailbox along w/other businesses in a shared mailbox and sometimes there is a slot in there for outgoing mail. I would drop it there.

But I think the clothespin idea would work too if you don't have time for the other options.

You can rest it in the slot, clothespin it on, hand it to the carrier, or put it in a seperate drop box on a street nearby.
