Congratulations!! I think you should start with Houzz, tag a bunch of things you like, and then take some time at Home Depot or Lowes to get ideas on price points. Then maybe try your new neighborhood list serve for suggestions on companies that can do the work. Good luck!

We are finally moving into our first home after living in apartments and condos! Our new home has a large kitchen with room for an island. I would like to have a custom island built that matches the rest of the kitchen. Where do I start? Can anyone recommend a place that will do this? I'm in a NW DC but am willing to drive. Many thanks!
