Sibley is fastest, but less able to take of the more difficult cases. Unless their policy has changed, they do take kids. But they can't hospitalize them at their facility.

Sibley or Suburban. Never providence or WHC

Public Service Announcement: If you do have a gun shot wound that qualifies as needing "trauma" care, do not rely on DCUM for advice.

If there's any chance you will need to be hospitalized, not Sibley.

Child or adult? In my experience at GWU, if you come in with a child you'll be triaged to the top. But the reason for that is that they don't see kids often. At Georgetown they have pediatricians, which is awesome, except that it also means you have to wait for one of them. On the other hand, if anything is actually wrong* with your kid you want people who know how to treat kids.
Sibley doesn't see kids either, but for an adult their ER is great.
* I say this because the one time we were seen at GWU, it was for something that turned out to be nothing.

Definitely not GW! I have been to both sibley and gtown ERs lately and they were both way faster.

Driving or public transit? Where are you coming from?

Maybe Sibley? It's a bit further from downtown, so may be a shorter wait.

Why don't you call each one? I think both are good but it probably depends on what other emergencies are taking place this afternoon.
