My first dog was Nia. I thought I was going to adopt a male dog and name him Tom, after Tom Cruise. (This was many years ago) Adopted a female so named her after Tom Cruises girlfriend in mission impossible 2. 2nd dog is Madi, wife lived the name and wanted to name our child Madison. I figured if we called the dog Madi we couldn't have a kid with the same name. 3rd dog is Bailey. He's or 3rd dog and we just not as creative anymore.

Grouchette. She's a balck and white tuxedo cat. with a big black nose moustache. So we named her Groucho, after Groucho Marx. Had her a month or two, flipped her over and realized it's a girl, so Grouchette

Dog - Shoobie ( a shoobie is a south jersey term for someone who goes to the beach on the weekend and she travels w my husband to the beach each weekend ) it's not a compliment because shoobie a are notoriously annoying - and the pup can be that way as well, so it fits

Just curious what kind of pet and how it got its name.
My dog's name is Scout, named after my favorite character from To Kill A Mockingbird.
My cat is Elmo, named by my kid who was a toddler at the time that the cat decided to live with us.
The fish is Nemo the Third (after Nemo O.G. and Nemo Jr died), named by my older kid.
