Re the babies' room, white with a lime green accent wall could look great - or it could look awful. Depends on the paint job and how well you coordinate the furnishings. That combo is not 'girly'. You could pair it with pink or lilac and make it girly, however. Again, go with what you like; the kids are too young to care. In any case, they'll probably want a change in a few years.

Like most teenage boys, your son doesn't care about paint colors. He said 'blue' just to get you off his back. I can see his eyeballs rolling from here. Boys tend to like navy blue. Personally, I would do neutral taupe walls with navy blue and white bedding, maybe with red accents.

Thanks, PP, for the laugh!

Check out the Benjamin Moore color of the year and Sherwin Williams Pottery Barn colors. Farrow and Ball colors are very beautiful.

Go on Houzz and Pinterest and really enjoy yourself looking at greys, blues, and greens and some creams and yellows. Use Benjamin Moore colors.

Agreed. We had a gray picked out and it looked purple when we put it on the wall. I had another that had a really strong yellow undertone. I could see the yellow undertone and liked it, but was shocked when the other gray went purple. I eventually found a neutral gray....or at least, more neutral. I believe it is called Cliffside Gray by Benjamin Moore.

Will the kids be sharing a room for several years? Lime green doesn't grab me, but a pear green or sage green as accent color does.

We're moving into a new place that needs to be completely repainted from top to bottom. Help me think of colors for all these rooms!

Living/dining room (open floor plan): I was thinking grey for this area but was a little worried it'll look dated in a few years, thoughts?
Kids' room: 1 yo DD will be sharing this room with her TBD younger sibling. We don't know if it's a girl or a boy yet so the color can't be gender specific. I was thinking about white with a lime green accent wall but would that be too girly?
Teenage boy's room and bathroom: He wants "blue" but won't get any more specific than that. We're buying him all new furniture so no worries about it matching anything. Any particular shades people like?

Thanks for any thoughts!
