Can you ship fruit? Maybe an edible bouquet? When my FIL was ill, I remember desperately wishing there was some fresh fruit in the house and not being able to get out to go get some.
There are usually people coming and going, as well, (hospice nurses, etc.) so something she can offer to/share with caregivers is nice.
This really depends. I had a lot of downtime caring for my family member. I'd suggest magazines, a nice set of comfy pjs, flowers and maybe a gift card to a healthy take out place? Or whole foods if there's one close by. You're a great friend
