To a degree. But around election time signs go up in yards and if you look around cars have political bumper stickers on them. So there is no overt judging on a personal basis but people care enough about politics to put a sign in their yard. In fact, you will often see neighbors who like each other and have lived next door to each other for years supporting different candidates.
