All obviously creations from outside time itself.
We have nothing close to the mental capacity for God to explain creation . Sending Jesus was like us petting our cat or dog on the head. God wants to know who purrs and who bites.

And that the person says "I don't understand how this came to be, but I would like a word I can use to refer to the amazingly unlikely fact of existence, so I'll call it God, since that's the closest English word I know."
Is that person a believer?
Or must a believer see God as an entity with whom we speak and who loves us?

... You will find God. He stands at the door and knocks.
I thought it was the holy spirit who stood at the door knocking? Oh that was a different thread.

The next step/ phase is to wonder what their role is in the universe that this God they now (sort of) believe in is, how they fit in, what purpose their life has, etc. That leads to further inquiry and -- generally, if they are going down the right path -- deeper belief. Growing closer and closer to this awesome God can take time but recognizing His existence is the first step in "believing," yes.
