People can totally look different. I have an Asian/black friend who looked Asian as a baby, black as a little girl, biracial as an adult, and as she gets older, looks more like her Asian mom. So anything can happen.

I'm northern European heritage and DH is middle eastern with dark hair & eyes and dark olive skin that tans to brown. DD is almost 5 and to our surprise has always had my coloring - bright blue eyes, very fair skin, blonde hair (although mine was white as a kid and hers is more honey colored).

I am mixed race asian/white. My husband is darker, olive toned caucasian.

One of our kids looks just like my husband.

Another slightly resemble me. Definitely looks about 1/5 asian

Another came out and if I hadn't seen it happen I would have been worried the kid was switched in the NICU. White, white skin. Golden blonde hair. Greenish blue eyes. Not a single asian feature on him. Looked nothing like either of us until about age six, when he suddenly started to favor photos of my husband as a child. Until then, he looked like he belonged to a different family.

Genes are a very strange thing.

A good friend is half Mexican, half Caucasian. As a young child I swear he looked three quarters Chinese and a quarter white. Now he looks mostly like a white guy, hint of Latino

My son had blond hair as a young kid. It turned light brown by about 3 years old. In the winter his skin is as white as mine (German/Scottish heritage). In the summer, with a dark tan, he looks much more like his father, who is North African. His hair is a mix of sub-saharan African tight curls and my straight hair. He's 10.

Oddly, all my white friends and acquaintances think he looks 100% white. My non-white friends and acquaintances of any background immediately think he's biracial. His Japanese day care worker was the first to ask me if he was "mixed." And that's back when he had blond hair.

All 3 of my kids have light skin (though they tan, unlike me who burns.)

Two also have light features, one has darker features (eyes, hair, etc.)

They all look like their darker dad, though. My skin seems to be all they got!

Not for me. I got my mom's Irish skin . dad is Palestinian.

I have a mixed white/asian boy. He looks white, but with a nice tan. Black hair, brown eyes. In the summer, he's been mistaken for a Hispanic child. He gets really dark tanned in the summer

I'm black and white. I had blonde hair as a kid that turned dark brown. Otherwise, I stayed the same. Basically look Hispanic.

Nope - my mixed race kid looks white. Always has.

This. And even if a kid isn't mixed they can look a lot like one parent vs. another.

some did! I have 4 children, all half-black half-white. they all looked VERY white when they were born up until about 4 or 5 years old. it seemed like they were 100% white! they all grew into their darker features though, and 2 of my children are very dark while 2 are lighter

My hair got lighter, and curlier, and my eyes turned much more hazel, than dark brown. Genes, hormones, time, all things can make someone's features evolve incrementally over time.
