We left PG for a district in the Adirondacks and we had one snow day and three delays. One delay was because it was -40 with the windchill.
Our district here started the week after Labor Day and we also get out on the 23rd. At first I felt bad for my kids because they started the year in MD and are finishing up here and I was sure they'd be upset they were in school for so long. Turns out it didn't make any difference.

It will be an unexcused absence unless the child is sick, of course... and you do need a doctor's note for 3+ days of absence due to illness to be excused.

I'm OP and I am a teacher so I do have to show up and I am still teaching -- no videos in my classroom -- but I was just wondering why we were getting out so much later than Montgomery county. I didn't realize we took 5 more snow days than they did this year.

Why is PGCPS in session for so much longer than MCPS? Didn't we have about the same number of snow days?

MCPS is out today but PGCPS is in till next Tuesday!
