I also strongly prefer painted and disagree that unpainted looks more "elegant." There is nothing wrong with it, of course, just like no one has to shave her legs... but I prefer polish.

Seriously? I never paint my toenails, ok I did once for the novelty. I'm low maintenance. My toenails are clean and trimmed. I do notice that almost *every* women's toenails are done up. I just can't be bothered, though.

Same here. While natural is certainly someone's prerogative, I rarely see toes that would not benefit from being covered up.

As long as there is no fungus go for it. There is nothing more disgusting than looking down and seeing someone's yellow toenail while I'm trying to eat.

In the winter months, I get pedicures and just have them buff my toenails (no polish). It looks great!

I like painted better too. I'm pretty minimal on other beauty things, but I do like color on my toes.

It's fine so long as your toes look nice and aren't scraggly/grungy/overgrown/whatever. I rarely remember to paint my toenails but they do always look neat.

You need shapely feet, and well-groomed, healthy nails. Done.

No, but please please make sure they are still well-manicured! Long painted toenails are unpleasant, but long, rough, and unpainted are shiver-worthy.

I know painted toenails are cuter and more fun, but I like the look of well groomed natural feet/toenails.

Am I committing a complete faux pas by wearing sandals all summer without polished toes?
