Head towards town from the Loews, not away from town.
There's plenty on West street and if you walk down Main street, plenty more.
If you'd like company, I live near there.

There are a million bars and restaurants in historic Annapolis. Rams Head Tavern, Galway Bay, Harry Browns (more upscale), and try Level. I can't remember the bar much, but the food is out of this world. Tapas style.
