Sometimes this board is as bad as Babycenter.

After knowing several people who were left in limbo for weeks or months in jail, I wouldn't leave anyone there. Or that boy in NY left in jail for years.

I know the difference between jail and prison. I'm not the one who brought up OITNB as if I thought it was the same. I don't specifically know the ins and outs of processing in county jail. She's also not in Arlington County jail or even Virginia so don't know why that would have been useful info. Thanks for the condescension I guess.

+1 my brother is on medication ... He got what he needed in jail.

Get her meds to her and let her sit. She needs to learn. She is going to kill someone and you'll feel worse than you do now.

When my brother got his 3rd we left him in. She is going yo kill somebody. Cut off a contact unless she has been sober for a few months.

Tell her this is the last time you will bail her out.

Dont do it. You are just enabling her. She needs to feel the consequenses of her actions.

Got a call at 2:48 am from my sister that my mother was arrested and in jail for her 3rd DUI. She's in another state so I've spent all morning trying to find someone who could go bond her out if I covered the bail money. I am sick with worry at the cascade of shit coming her way after this. Being the adult child of an irresponsible alcoholic just sucks.
