Good wood is really expensive. In less you know what you are doing, its not worth it.

Has anyone tried any DIY furniture building plans (ala Ana White, Pinterest, etc)? I feel like for most they would be failures but maybe some of them are really foolproof and I just don't know it.

I have never done it because I feel like I will buy all of the materials and it will end up looking so terrible it would have been cheaper and easier to just buy the damn thing.
