I worked at the Olive Garden all throughout college and grad school and we had to card anyone who looked under 45. It was hilarious how flattered people would get. In my head I was like "umm I don't think your under 21 I think you might be under 45 so don't be too excited!"

I was carded age 29 because I was in an NYU bar (I didn't know). Its more about the place and those who frequent it than it is about you, sadly.

Op here - I am not bragging! Not super young looking either . Just curious why sometimes they do and sometimes don't when I look the same all the time.

Yes but its not because I look 18. Many servers and bartenders automatically card as a practice, so don't flatter yourself op

The last time I was carded was on my honeymoon. I was 29.

I got carded at a liquor store that was supposed to card everyone up to 35....until I was about 41 or so. Nobody's carded me in years, lol.

Only at Wegman's. They card everybody. Seriously. I think I was 42 the last time that it happened. I'm a guy and OBVIOUSLY over 21.

I'm 35 and got carded at the local grocery store. I asked the clerk at what age she stopped carding and she said around 60. It's a big deal for a store or restaurant to sell to an undercover cop. The clerk can get arrestes anf the establishment can lose its liquor license.

I'm 40, and get carded sometimes. The best was when I was at the train display at brook side gardens and they asked me if my little brother wanted some crayons. My son was 3 at the time. Loved it!
