Many years ago, my DS was diagnosed at Stixrud with PDD NOS (this diagnosis is no longer in the DSM). It didn't fit for us as the troubling signs that led us to investigate did not come until he was nearly 8. I had no idea where to turn when a colleague recommended Dr. Gordon, based on a friend's experience with a child with autism. He quickly got down to the right diagnosis--not autism spectrum, but OCD with tic like responses. My DS still sees him.

Is Dr. Gordon's office in Potomac or Rockville? I see both on the internet.

I have taken two children with ADHD, anxiety, depression for over 10 years. He has a very good manner with children and young adults and he listens to both children and parents regarding problems and symptoms, medication concerns. He has been able to accommodate last minute appointments in a couple of urgent situations and changed medications quickly when we observed disturbing behaviors with one medication.

We use Doctor Gordon and have done so for 13 years. We have two boys with moderate to severe autism and Doctor Gordon is a godsend. His son has moderate to severe autism and this experience helps him as an adviser to parents. He has helped us through so many situations and experiences--dealing with sleeplessness, mood swings, inappropriate behaviors, IEPs and practical tips, such as dealing with family trips.

Most importantly talking with him is good therapy for my wife, my daughter and myself.

I believe it is Dr. Charles Thomas Gordon.
Any more recent reviews on Dr. Gordon? I'm considering trying to get an appt with him for our 6 yo ADHD son who is on medication but still has some aggression and anger issues. I know his specialty is figuring out the medication, but can he also evaluate kids and figure out what else may be going on (e.g., anxiety, depression)?

Also liked Dr Gordon w/my ds. ONLY complaint is that he was too quick in wanting to prescribe meds for my son with very mild ADD. We did not return to him because of this, and ds, 3 yrs later is doing fine w/out meds.

He is a great Doctor, and a terrific person who cares deeply for his patients. We have dealt with him for many years with our son who has autism. Truth be known, he has been a God-send.
Thank you.

We have two sons who see Dr. Gordon. He is excellent and has a terrific reputation within the Autism Community. He has helped us where other professionals have failed. He is well connected with other professionals and other resources. His specialty is medication and he keeps abreast of the latest in medications. We also recommend his "Haven Universe" activity program for special needs children. It is worth looking into -- the program has a church affiliation and underlying theme.

We have also recently started seeing Dr. C.T. Gordon for our son with AS and OCD and have been very pleased with him. He is very knowledgeable about both ASD and OCD and seems to have a conservative approach with medication.

DR. GORDON is the best. My son was referred to Dr. Gordon because many other doctors couldn't figure my son out, no medications were working. I'm not sure what we would do without his support. He is not in a convient location for us but worth the long drive, traffic and time! Congrats on getting an appointment, you now have someone who listens and understands!

I have taken both of my (now adult) children with disabilities to Dr. Gordon for years. I searched long and hard for a good Psychiatrist. He is excellent, and I trust him always. I don't believe he has hospital privileges if the child needs psychiatric hosp. but he keeps in touch and can recommend hospitals and staff. He has helped us with some very complicated needs. He's conservative and careful, and is very good at communication. Best quality: great pharmacologist!

I have not had any experience with Dr. C. T. Gordon ... yet. My daughter has an appointment with him on Dec. 6th. She has Asperger's Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, ADD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and a severe math learning disability. We are going to him to get some new perspective on her medications. All I really know is that he worked with Dr. Judith Rapapport on an ariticle about OCD so he must be extremely skilled in that area. I also know that he has a son who has Aspergers. Have you heard anything good or bad about him?
