How does that process work, timeframe and all?

Snort.

Rough in her control or out of her control.

Oh good lord. Just parent her and quit posting about your first world problems

You seem to lack empathy and understanding for a young person who's struggling to cope with the reality of such a deteriorating GPA.

She should be fine. If she had failed a class or her GPA dropped below a 3.0 this might be a legitimate fear. But a 4.2? Not an issue.

this is what happens when you make school about grades or college acceptances rather than learning. Instead of being proud of your kid making an A, ask them what they learned today.

I've been told that, short of completely failing every class, you have to do something illegal or immoral to have an admission rescinded. Colleges know that seniors need a bit of a break from the pressure and they take that into account.

Can you call the school anonymously and ask the question as a hypothetical?

I know MIT does. My ex-boyfriend did what you describe but a lot worse and it rescinded.

Is her 4.2 her ending cumulative GPA (meaning she got around a 2 weighted for the quarter?) or is it her quarterly GPA? If it's the latter I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Let's say that my DD has had a rough six months. After she got in to UVA early decision, she checked out of school. Meaning, Grades have dropped significantly and she was skipping a lot of classes. Her ending GPA is still around a 4.2 down from a 4.5. Will UVA likely rescind? How does that process work, timeframe and all?
