As a contractor I don't accept tips, if one is offered I suggest they give it to Children's Hospital.

A bottle of water or a few slurpees for my men on a hot day does wonders for their morale.

The biggest gift you can give is a sincere thanks for the skill, precision and thoughtfulness that went into your project.
It's not about money so much as the appreciation for our work that has my guys grinning ear to ear.

Skip the tip and spread around some compliments.

I tipped the on site guy.

During my parent's $150,000 renovation, she would give the workers that were there on Fri $10 for lunch. These guys are usually working for pennies. And they LOVED her for it!

OK, thank you! I love the on-site guy so I just didn't want to offend him! Good to know!

We are in the middle of a $150,000 remodel and since there is a project manager, a designer, and a head guy who is on-site 24-7, I am wondering if I should be tipping these people at the end of the project? If so, how much?
