This is funny to me. Our 3 year old son is tall and has pretty long limbs. All the shorts are so short on him that if you put him in some lederhosen, he looks like he could be the 8th Von Trapp child in the sound of music. I have been actively looking for longer ones this season, but the ones I liked last year from Old Navy aren't available this year.

I've found Target Circo brand to be shorter than Baby Gap.

This is funny, because toddler girl shorts are waaaaay too SHORT.

Try buying girl shorts. If you buy them in gender neutral colors no one will know the difference.

The ones that come as PJ sets are usually shorter. I got some at Target, their version of Carters. Some Nikes aren't too bad either

Honestly- my parents go to France every summer and they have started buying DS shorts. Our guy is skinny so the European fit is better and they aren't the length of pants.

I totally know what you mean! It depends on what size you're looking for. I had this experience when my DS was in the smaller sizes, but since moving to 2T and 3T, many shorts seem shorter than before.

I usually shop at thrift stores, but I've had a decent amount of luck at those places finding shorter shorts. Usually they aren't brand names and aren't khaki or jeans -- they're just made of jersey fabric or sports fabric.

You might also look for PJ pants. A lot of the PJ sets have short shorts, although they're a little hard to find in smaller sizes.

There is a reason the jokes about shorts/long pants in the Calvin and Hobbes cartoons were funny: all shorts for little kids seem to be super long.

Any recommendations for toddler boy shorts that aren't super long? Many of the styles from Gap are so long they look like basketball shorts on my 20 month old. Would love some that pull-on rather than button/zip.
